Box Score The Wright State men's soccer team led 1-0 in the second half, but two Detroit goals in a 1:33 span lifted the Titans to a 2-1 decision in the Horizon League opener for both teams Saturday in Detroit.
Senior Emeka Ononye gave the Raiders a 1-0 lead at the 41:10 mark of the first half with his first goal of the season, a header off the post following a free kick by sophomore forward Eric Lynch.  It was Lynch's sixth assist of the year.
It stayed that way until Detroit tied it with a goal at the 71:11 mark of the second half and followed that up with the go-ahead goal just 1:33 later.
The Titans finished with a 14-7 shot advantage, 10-1 in the second half, and held a slight 4-3 edge in corner kicks.  Sophomore goalkeeper Tyler Blackmer recorded five saves in the match.
Wright State (5-3-1, 0-1 Horizon) returns home for a pair of league matches next week, taking on league newcomer Belmont on Wednesday, October 1, and Milwaukee on Saturday, October 4, with both matches starting at 7:00.
