Men's Soccer Travels to Cleveland State

The Wright State men's soccer team (9-5-1, 5-2-0) will travel to Cleveland to battle Cleveland State (5-8-2, 3-2-2) Saturday at 7pm.  If you are unable to travel north this Saturday, you can watch the game on ESPN3.

Wright State

Wright State, with two more conference matches before the Horizon League tournament starts, is coming off a 1-0 conference win against Northern Kentucky University last Saturday at home.  Stefan Rokvic had the only goal of the game off an assist by Sam DeRoy, a little over 38 minutes into the match.  That goal makes seven for the season for Rokvic, he is now tied with AJ Paterson for most goals this season.  Rokvic and Paterson are currently tied for third place in the conference for goals scored.  Joel Sundell was unable to play last Saturday due to illness, but Alex Williams stepped in with four saves, posting another shutout.  Sundell is currently third in the conference for shutouts per game (13) and in number of saves (44) so far this season.  One game back from first place in the Horizon League, the Raiders will be look to climb in the stgandings.  DeRoy was named the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week last week.

Cleveland State

Cleveland State is coming home after being away for the last four games with a tie in double overtime and three losses (one in double overtime).  The Vikings last game was with Cincinnati, where the Bearcats won 2-1.  Gianluca DiFranco scored the only goal for the Vikings off an assist from Lawrence Karpeh.  That was DiFranco's first goal of the season.  Goalie Noah Lawrence had two saves during the match.  Cleveland State is currently fifth in the Horizon League standings.  Sebastian Kalk is currently fifth in shutouts (2) and tied for seventh in saves (28). 
 
Next Up

The Raiders will host IUPUI (0-12-2, 0-7-0) at Alumni Field, Friday, November 3rd at 7pm.  This will be Wright States last game of the regular season and Senior Night.  The Horizon League Tournament starts Nov. 6 as the three and four seeds host the five and six seeds.  The top seed will host the semifinals and the finals.
