@WSU_SB Host Four; Sr. Day Saturday

The Wright State softball team will take on two different in-state foes this week before the conclusion of the regular season, with the final three-game series impacting the Horizon League standings.

WSU begins with a single game against Bowling Green at 11:00 am at the WSU softball field. Then, they play one game Friday at 4:00 pm against Cleveland State, and a doubleheader Saturday against Cleveland State at 1:00 and 3:00 at the WSU softball field.  After the games on Saturday, the Raiders will honor its five seniors: Kelly Dillow, Macey Gunther, Jordan Kennaw, Ashley Sharp and Honnah Susor.

The Raiders are 15-30 overall on the season, and 9-10 record in conference play, fifth place in the Horizon League Standings. The top six teams in the Horizon League qualify to compete for the Horizon Championship, and the Raiders will be looking to move up in the standings in their final series with Cleveland State. Ashley Sharp continues to lead the Raiders behind her strong pitching performances and a tremendous ERA of 2.43 on the season. She became the career shutouts and wins leader in Wright State softball history in the process. At the plate for the Raiders, Honnah Susor leads the Raiders with a batting average at .311 on the season, and sports a .420 on-base percentage on the year. Macey Gunther and Madison Whitaker have 23 and 21 RBI, respectively.

Bowling Green

The Falcons have a 25-23 overall record on the season, and a 7-12 MAC record. They are coming off two losses against Kent State in a doubleheader on Saturday, but have been strong all year. Aspen Searle leads the Falcons with a .379 batting average, with six home runs and 22 RBI's on the year.  BGSU holds a 13-3 advantage in the overall series.

Cleveland State

The Vikings have a 15-29 record on the year, and 5-12 in conference play. CSU is coming off a 5-1 victory against Northern Kentucky in their last outing. Riley Ries has been dominant at the plate for the Vikings, batting .310 with six home runs and 31 RBI's on the season.  The Raiders hold a 53-45 overall hold on the series.  WSU won all three meetings a year ago at CSU.
