On Friday, Wright State and Milwaukee combined for 21 runs and 23 hits. Saturday's matchup took a very different tone with just three runs scored in total, all by Wright State. Zane Collins extended his streak of 19 innings without allowing an earned run including 13.1 consecutive innings of shutout baseball. Milwaukee had several opportunities to score and outhit the Raiders but left 11 runners on base.

4th Inning
In the opening innings, Zane Collins and Milwaukee starter Matt Vanek matched one another with three scoreless innings. Collins used a key groundout to Tyler Black at second base to escape a bases loaded jam in the top of the third. In the fourth, the Raiders turned a line-out to second into an inning-ending double play. Wright State broke the scoreless tie in the fourth with a long bomb by Zane Harris who hit a ball deep over the centerfield fence for a solo home run.

6th Inning
Chase Slone ripped the first pitch of the at-bat over the left field wall for his second home run of the year. The homer gave the Raiders their second run of the game for a 2-0 lead thanks to great pitching by Zane Collins.

7th Inning
The Panthers threatened in the top of the 7thwith runners on first and second with just one out. Tristan Haught entered the game in relief of Zane Collins and earned a double play on an interference call. In the home half, Seth Gray and Damon Dues each drew walks and forced a Milwaukee pitching change. Mahoney entered for the Panthers and got Tyler Black to roll over into a double play.

After Haught retired Milwaukee, the Raiders threatened to add insurance to their lead with Orr and Giltrow on first and second with no outs. Peyton Burdick put a ball in play, and a throwing error allowed Giltrow to score the third Wright State run.

Evan Moores stepped in and recorded his third save of the season with a first-pitch groundout to Chase Slone at short, a swinging strikeout, and a lineout to Damon Dues to clinch the Raider victory.

Wright State claimed their first Horizon League victory with Coach Alex Sogard at the helm. The pitching staff turned in their second shutout of the year after blanking the Ohio Bobcats last Saturday. The Raiders and Panthers will square off in the rubber match from Nischwitz Stadium at 11:00 AM on Sunday.
