@WSU_SB Preps for Final Non-Conference Series

Wright State (20-27) enters a midweek doubleheader against Bowling Green after winning back-to-back Horizon League series last week against Youngstown State and Oakland. The Raiders will face the Falcons for the second time this season after defeating them 5-4 in walk-off fashion early in the season.

Wright State (20-27)
Raidyn Johnson turned in another impressive week at the plate. The sophomore compiled six hits, seven runs, and eight RBI as well as two home runs against Oakland. Makenna Durieux guided the Raider pitching staff, appearing in all six games, striking out 24 batters, and picking up two wins and two saves. With their two series wins, Wright State pulled within just a half game of sixth place and the last postseason position in the conference.

Bowling Green (17-27)
The Falcons have hit a rough patch of the season, dropping five of their last six contests and eight of their last ten. Bowling Green most recently took one game out of a three game series against MAC opponent Western Michigan. Madi McCoy has led her team offensively with an impressive .358 average to go with seven home runs and a team-leading 23 RBI. In the circle, Meredith Miller has seen most of the action for the Falcons. She pitched 12.1 innings against Western Michigan giving up just three runs in that time.

The Falcons lead the all-time series 13-5, but couldn't top the Raiders earlier this season. Despite tallying just three hits, Wright State defeated Bowling Green 5-4 on March 20thon a walkoff wild pitch at WSU Softball Field.

Wright State will face Bowling Green in their final non-conference tune-up before wrapping up the regular season at Cleveland State and at home against UIC.
