GAME 1 – The Raiders came out in game one with the bats ready, facing an Oakland pitching staff that averages over eight runs per game allowed. After getting ahead early, the Raiders would not take their foot off the gas pedal, scoring 28 runs when all was said and done, the second most in a single game behind an April 5, 2012 game against Youngstown State where Wright State scored 32. Zach Weatherford led the offensive onslaught for the Raiders in game one, driving in nine runs in the game including two home runs. Damon Dues also drove in four runs of his own, adding a home run and a double. Peyton Burdick and Alex Alders also homered, and the Raiders would go on to win 28-10 in game one of the double header.
GAME 2 – After an offensive explosion in game one, the pitching staffs came back into the mix in game two. Peyton Burdick had another solid game for Wright State in game two, leading the team with two hits and driving in one of the green and gold's four runs for the game. Tyler Black would give the Raiders the lead for good in the top of the ninth inning with a pinch-hit RBI triple, and Tyler Luneke came into the game in the bottom of the ninth and shut the door facing just three batters and striking out one.

With the win in game two, Wright State clinches their third Horizon League regular season championship in four years. The Raiders, winning 40 games for just the sixth time in program history, (40-15, 21-8 Horizon, 1st place) and the Golden Grizzlies (11-35, 9-17 Horizon, 5th place) will round out their series Friday morning with a single game at Mercy Field in Toledo, Ohio. First pitch is scheduled for 11:30 AM, and live stats will be available.
