The Wright State men's soccer team returns to Alumni Field to welcome Cleveland State for a Monday afternoon matchup. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.

Wright State – The Raiders are coming off a 3-2 overtime victory on the road against Detroit Mercy. The Titans struck first less than three minutes into the contest before
Zion Beaton's fifth minute goal tied the contest 1-1. Detroit Mercy took the advantage in the 18th minute to take the lead heading into halftime.
Joe Kouadio tallied his first goal of the contest after connecting on a pass from
Jared Edmonson in the 48th minute. 90 minutes was not enough as both teams looked to score but headed into overtime. As the final seconds ticked away in the first overtime period, Kouadio tallied his second goal of the contest – a game winner, as he connected on a cross from
Harvey Slade in the 100th minute.
Cleveland State – Cleveland State posted its second straight shutout victory of the 2021 spring season over Detroit Mercy, 3-0. The Titans dominated possession over the first 20 minutes, recording four shots on goal along with a corner while holding the Vikings without a single shot. Following Detroit's quick opening spurt, Cleveland State took seven of the final 11 shots of the opening half. Jannis Schmidt logged a pair of goals while Bojan Kolevski scored for the second straight match. Goalkeeper Omeed Naeemy picked up his second consecutive clean sheet with four saves.
SCOUTING THE VIKINGS
Cleveland State was picked was picked fifth in the #HLMSOC preseason poll, tallying 72 total votes. The Vikings finished the 2019 season 7-1-1 overall and 3-5 in Horizon League play.
Cleveland State returns 13 members from last year's roster and welcomes nine newcomers to the squad, all true freshmen. Six Vikings return that started at least 12 matches last season, while 11 total Vikings are back that played in at least seven contests in 2019.
