Raiders set for 13th annual Joe Nuxhall Classic

DAYTON — The Wright State baseball program will compete in the first round of the 13th annual Joe Nuxhall Classic on Tuesday, April 4, against Cincinnati at Hayden Park in Oxford, Ohio. The 2 p.m. neutral-site contest is set for a 2 p.m. start. Fans can follow the action with live stats.

LAST TIME OUT
The Raiders are coming off a series victory over Northern Kentucky on the road. Wright State won its opening two games at NKU by final scores of 6-2 and 3-1 but fell 9-5 in the series finale. Starting pitchers Jake Shirk and Sebastian Gongora stood out over the weekend as the pair collected winning decisions on the mound. Boston Smith batted 6-for-12 (.500) over the three-game stretch with two doubles, a home run, and three runs scored.
