DAYTON- The Wright State men's soccer team will open up Horizon League play on the road as they will face off against IU Indy on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.

Wright State goalkeeper Alessando Malterer set a new career-high with 11 saves on Sunday Afternoon as the Raiders fell 3-0 against UIC.
UIC would open the scoring in the 19
th minute when Daniel Zepeda received the ball at the edge of the 18-yard box off of an attempted clearance, Zepeda composed himself and fired a shot off with a slight knuckleball effect to it that ended up in the back of the net. The Flames would double their lead just before halftime when Edouard Nys sent a free kick into the box that landed at the feet of Adrian Biaggi who was able to tap the ball into the net.
Nys would give UIC an insurance goal shortly after the halftime break when he tapped in the Flames third goal of the day.
SCOUTING THE JAGUARS
IU Indy is an even 2-2-2 on the season with wins over Butler and Southern Indiana. The Jaguars are averaging one goal per game so far this season, leading the way is a pair of Dutchmen. Youri Keijser (two goals and two assists) and Stan Klaver (two goals) are leading the team in points with six and four respectively.
HISTORY VS. IU INDY
Saturday afternoon's match will be the 25
th meeting all-time between the Raiders and Jaguars, a series that Wright State leads 18-6. The last meeting between the two squads came last season at Alumni Field with the Raiders coming out on top 2-0.

UP NEXT
Following Saturday's match, the Raiders will head over to South Bend Indiana for a non-conference match with Notre Dame on Tuesday, September 23. Kickoff from South Bend is slated for 7 p.m.
LAST SEASON REWIND
Wright State finished last season with a 7-9-2 overall record and a 3-5-1 mark in Horizon League play. The Raiders were 4-3-1 at home at Alumni Field last season.
