Wright State jumped out to an early 4-0 lead and scored 10 runs with two outs overall as the Raiders rolled to a 12-0 win over Youngstown State at the Horizon League Baseball Championship at Nischwitz Stadium Friday night.

The Raiders opened their scoring with four in the first. After Sam Picchiotti and Dan Marsh started the inning with singles, Jake Hibberd bunted both runners into scoring position and Tristan Moore plated Picchiotti with a ground out. Following Corey Davis being hit by a pitch, Zach Tanner doubled to right center to make it 3-0 and Ryan Ashe added a RBI single for the final run.

The lead grew to 7-0 with single runs in the third, fourth and seventh before WSU tallied five in the eighth. After Hibberd drove in the first two runs with a double, a Moore double, a Davis triple and a Tanner single produced the final three.

Senior Michael Woytek (7-3) pitched his first career shutout as the righty held the Penguins to six singles while striking out seven.

Moore and Tanner each had three hits to lead the Raider offense, with Tanner driving in four. Marsh had two hits and three runs scored while Hibberd and Ashe also had two hits.

Wright State (34-17) now faces Valparaiso in the winner's bracket final Saturday at 3:00. The winner advances to Sunday's championship while the loser is right back in action Saturday at 7:00.
