The Wright State women's basketball team led by nine with six minutes to play, only to see Cleveland State close the game with a 22-9 run as the Vikings pulled out a 67-63 decision Wednesday night at the Wolstein Center.

CSU took the lead at 13-11 on a Cori Coleman three with 12:38 remaining in the first half and the Vikings extended the margin to 23-13 on another Coleman triple at the 7:32 mark.? WSU, though, answered with 10 straight points, four coming from Tay'ler Mingo, and only trailed 29-28 at the break thanks to a three by the senior guard in the final seconds.

Both teams struggled offensively in the first half as Wright State shot 32 percent, including one of 10 from three-point range, while Cleveland State shot 29 percent overall, four of 14 from behind the arc.

The Raiders scored the first eight points of the second half, half by Richelle van der Keijl, and led 39-31 following a Mingo three-point play, only to see the Vikings storm back to tie the game with eight points in a one-minute span.

WSU again built a lead, this time 54-45 on a Symone Denham jumper with 6:06 to play, but again CSU had a quick comeback, tallying 14 unanswered points in a three-minute span, to take the lead for good at 59-54.

Wright State cut the deficit to three on three different occasions, but could get no closer.

The struggles continued for the Raiders in the second half, shooting 27 percent to end the game at 30 percent while the Vikings were at 33 percent.? Cleveland State also hit nine of 27 threes compared to just two of 19 for WSU to overcome Wright State hitting 23 of 28 foul shots.

Mingo led all scorers with 23 for the Raiders while Tayler Stanton posted a double-double of 11 points and 15 rebounds.? van der Keijl added 11 off the bench.

Kiersten Green paced Cleveland State (15-9, 7-4 Horizon) with 23 points, 20 coming in the second half, while Coleman had 16 and Imani Gordon 10.

Wright State (19-7, 8-4 Horizon) hosts Oakland Saturday at 2:00.
