Raiders Host Final Home Games

The Raiders' stretch run is here as they will host the final two home games when Northern Kentucky comes to town Saturday at 2 pm followed by Cleveland State Monday at 5 pm.  Wright State will honor its two seniors Chelsea Welch and Lexi Smith on Monday.

Wright State, 18-8 and 9-5, is currently tied for third place with Cleveland State.  NKU comes to town with a record of 8-18 and 6-8, currently sits in seventh place.  Welch, the reigning Horizon League player of the week, collected a double-double of 30 points and 11 rebounds in the Oakland win last Saturday.  The Raiders won at Northern Kentucky in overtime 68-63 last month.  WSU lost at Cleveland State 71-70 in overtime.

WRIGHT STATE RAIDERS
  • Welch leads the Raiders and the League at 21.5 points per game.
  • Emily Vogelpohl, who collected her 1,000th career points against Oakland, averages 11.2 points.
  • Vogelpohl needs just three rebounded for 500.
  • Smith needs 19 points to hit the 1,000 point mark.
  • Mackenzie Taylor, who had 20 points versus the Grizzlies, averages 10.7 points.
  • The Raiders are 9-2 at home this year.
NORTHERN KENTUCKY NORSE
  • The Norse have won three straight, including at Milwaukee and at home against Oakland and Detroit Mercy.
  • Molly Glick leads NKU with a 12.8 points per game average.
  • Kailey Coffey has a team high 6.4 rebounds per contest.
  • NKU leads the overall series 12-7 now.
  • The Norse are 3-8 on the road overall and 1-4 in league road games.
CLEVELAND STATE VIKINGS
  • The Vikings will host Green Bay and Milwaukee before making the trip to Wright State
  • Currently, CSU has won five of the last six but are coming off a 94-56 loss at IUPUI.
  • Three Vikings average in double-figure scoring, led by Ashanti Abshaw at 19.4 points per game.
  • Olivia Voskuhl averages 7.1 rebounds.
  • Cleveland State leads the overall series 36-35.
  • CSU is 7-4 in road games overall and 5-2 in league road contests.
NEXT UP
  • The Raiders will play IUPUI next Friday at 7 pm and end the regular season at UIC Sunday at 2 pm.
