Fairborn, Ohio – The Raiders returned home after a midweek road win over the Xavier Musketeers on Wednesday, and returned to Horizon League play as they welcomed the Youngstown State Penguins to Nischwitz Stadium. The Raiders bats came alive in the first five innings, and Bear Bellomy struck out nine Penguins as Wright State cruised to a 7-1 victory.

SCORING
1st Inning – After reaching base on a leadoff walk, Damon Dues advanced to third on a Peyton Burdick single, and then came around to score after Burdick was picked off between first and second base, giving the Raiders an early 1-0 advantage.
3rd Inning – Damon Dues scored his second run of the game on an RBI single from J.D. Orr, his ninth run batted in of the season, re-establishing a one-run lead for Wright State at 2-1.
4th Inning – Chase Slone and Justin McConnell hit consecutive RBI singles with two outs in the inning, extending the Raider lead to 4-1.
5th Inning – Following a J.D. Orr RBI triple, the Raiders continued to expand the lead in the fifth as Zach Weatherford and Alex Alders added RBI singles to establish a six-run advantage.

NOTES
The Raiders' 10 strikeouts are the second-highest recorded by the pitching staff this season, behind only an 11 strikeout effort at home against Ohio University on March 10th.
Peyton Burdick leads the team in RBI (26), hits (33) and walks (21).
Damon Dues scored three runs in the game without reaching base safely on a hit (2 BB, 1 ROE)
