Callie Martin has been named the Horizon League Player of the Week, the League office announced on Monday.
Martin helped lead Wright State to a pair of victories last week to begin Horizon League play, tallying a pair of double-doubles in wins over Robert Morris and Northern Kentucky. Martin opened the week with a 13 kill, 17 dig effort on the road against RMU, adding a trio of blocks in the four-set win. She added to her stat line with 19 kills and 17 digs in the home victory over NKU, adding three more blocks and a pair of service aces. For the week, Martin averaged 4.00 kills per set (32 total kills) and 4.25 digs per set (34 total digs), collecting a .455 attack percentage after having just two errors in 66 total attacks over the two contests.
Wright State is on the road again Tuesday night with a visit to Youngstown State before the Raiders return home for action inside McLin Gymnasium on Friday and Saturday against Oakland and Cleveland State. All three matches this week are expected to be streamed on ESPN+.
