Buies Creek, N.C.- The Wright State baseball team fell in the second game of its three-game set with Campbell on Saturday, 3-7, setting up a rubber match tomorrow afternoon.

Wright State (3-6) and Campbell will be back in action tomorrow afternoon for the series finale. First pitch in Buies Creek is slated for 1 p.m.

The Raiders got on the board first, striking for three runs in the top of the first inning. After a pair of early singles, Hunter Warren would score the first run of the inning, coming home on one of two Campbell wild pitches in the frame. Two batters later, Keegan Holmstrom would serve a single over the head of the Campbell second basemen to score JP Peltier from second base. The run marked the first RBI of Holmstrom's collegiate career. The Raiders would strike a few pitches again later when Cy Turner came in to score on the second Campbell wild pitch of the inning.

The Camels would respond right back in the bottom of the first inning when Jonah Oster launched a three-run homer over the wall in left to tie the game up at three.

Campbell would take the lead in the bottom of the second inning and never look back. The Camels would also add single tallies in the fourth, fifth, and sixth to add some insurance.

Wright State had traffic on the base paths, stranding at least one runner in seven different innings, including leaving them loaded in the top of the eighth. Stranding a total of 10 runners on base.

Griffen Paige got the start on the mound for the Raiders, pitching 3.1 innings before turning the ball over to the bullpen. Michael Bilo, Matthew Johnson, Cooper Ashby, and Brody Papay all saw action out of the pen for the Raiders. Ashby had his best outing of the season so far, pitching two scoreless frames while striking out his first batter of the season. Papay made his first collegiate appearance, pitching a clean eighth inning while striking out a pair of Camels.
