Box Score The Wright State baseball team trailed by just a run after scoring once in the sixth, only to see Old Dominion explode for seven in the seventh en route to a 10-3 decision over the Raiders at the Homewood Suites Shootout in Charleston, South Carolina, Saturday afternoon.
The Monarchs jumped out to a quick lead with three in the first, but WSU started to chip away with a run in the second. With one out, Tristan Moore was hit by a pitch and one out later, Zach Tanner tripled to right to drive in Moore.
Wright State cut the deficit to 3-2 with another run in the sixth. Walks to Corey Davis and Tanner along with a Ryan Ashe hit through the left side loaded the bases and Justin Kopale knocked in Davis with a ground out.
Old Dominion (5-2), however, answered in the seventh with seven runs, taking advantage of five hits, a Raider error, two walks and a fielder's choice. WSU tallied a run in the ninth as Jake Hibberd was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, but could get no closer.
Kody Krizman led the Raider offense with two hits.
