Box Score The Wright State baseball team fell behind 5-0 after three innings and could not recover as Youngstown State went on to a 7-1 win in the Horizon League winner's bracket semifinals Thursday night at Kapco Park in Mequon, Wisconsin.
YSU jumped out to a quick lead with three runs in the first and then added single runs in the second and third to go up 5-0. The Penguins then added a run in the seventh and the ninth to round out their scoring.
The Raiders picked up their lone run in the eighth as Jack Murphy had a bunt single and scored from first on a Michael Timm double to left.
Wright State (33-21) faces the UIC/Valparaiso winner in an elimination game Friday at 4:00 Eastern.
